what might stop him from walking out
into the soughing heat of his
savannah what might keep him
from its burning winds its
tricks its cozy
punishment
his feet are sewn to hot
trails only by wrenching by brute
ripping in his walk might he tear
into the blood table
would he fall then free
and bloody onto cold alien
steppe
