your name is a peculiar
thing:
illusionist who is everywhere,
the silent demon who at night
crawls quietly into the bed of my dreams
sometimes it is a banshee
wailing the omen of so many four letter words
but what i find most striking is
when i say your name
it doesn’t leave my lips
but takes shoes off its shoes, enters the temple of my mouth
and
rings a bell

enjoyed this piece in its entirety. but i couldn’t help thinking of all the possible four letter words, with their varying emotions. that’s what a good poem should do; make us think, feel, be inspired…something.
